As a result of many years of perfecting her plein air painting techniques, the Artist can capture poignant moments from the landscape. Katja Vedeneva is both enchanted by and draws her inspiration from the magical beauty of Nordic nature and the blaze of colour and extraordinarily bright light of the island of Crete. The visual artist strives to expressively portray the atmosphere of the natural settings of her paintings, capturing the texture of the wind and the sounds of the waves.  Colours, shades and light are important elements in her work: through them Vedeneva is able to portray the poetry of nature.
